Dinamo Sassari, Nenad Markovic introduces himself

Dinamo Sassari presented on Thursday its new head coach, Nenad Markovic. The Bosnian, at his first experience in Italy, takes the place of Piero Bucchi, who was exonerated after the league loss against Treviso in an away game, a knockout that came a few days after the elimination in the Champions League at the hands of Cholet.

Markovic, to the club’s official channels, was quick to explain his understanding of basketball: "Markovic’s basketball è to find the way to win games,” he said, “everyone says you have to defend, score easy points, move the ball, but that would be too easy becauseé opponents" exist.

"What I can say is that all my teams have always had a’footprint,” added the new coach of the islanders, “a consistency starting from the defense, I come running and I didn’t build the team from the beginning but I am used to it. I do not want any excuses, I have to look for the best way to succeed in changing the season, to find the right solution".

Markovic also spoke about the possibility of reinforcing the team in the market: "I need to see these first three games before the Italian Cup window, to see how they behave, what energy they put when there's a new coach,” he said, “these weeks before the break will be necessary to understand exactly the team".
