Roma, Vina’s farewell official: he is from Flamengo
The outfielder, on loan to Sassuolo, goes to Brazil for a new adventure
Now there are no more doubts about it. Vina, a defensive outfielder, leaves Roma (he was currently on loan at Sassuolo where, to date, he had played 16 total games) and moves permanently to Flamengo. For the Giallorossi club, this is a good outgoing transaction. The sale of Vina to Flamengo brings, in the club’s coffers, as much as eight million euros in total, plus one linked to various bonuses.
This is the official statement from the Brazilian club: "Flamengo announces the’purchase of left-back Matías Viña, from Roma. The 26-year-old Uruguayan has signed a contract until December 2028 and arrives to reinforce the Rossoneri’s squad for their Campeonato Carioca, Libertadores, Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil" commitments.
Farewell to Vina but also a look to the future. The Giallorossi club is reportedly interested in Baldanzi, a little jewel on the strength of Empoli. Also approached by other clubs, both Italian and foreign, Baldanzi has a valuation of 13/15 million euros. Roma hopes to be able to lower Empoli's economic demands by inserting some technical quid pro quo that may interest the Azzurri club.
