Sassuolo tile, Domenico Berardi knocked out: will undergo surgery
Sassuolo tile: Domenico Berardi stops
A few days away from the challenge with Monza comes very bad news at home Sassuolo. The Emiliani coach Alessio Dionisi, in fact, will have to do without Domenico Berardi, who will have to undergo surgery on his left knee due to a meniscus injury. The player is expected to remain in the pits for at least a month.
"Footballer Domenico Berardi, during yesterday’s training session, suffered a contusion-distortion injury to his left knee. Tests, carried out in the morning, showed a thin longitudinal compound injury of the medial meniscus. The player will undergoà surgery today" this is the statement issued by the club neroverde.
The Azzurri outfielder will most likely miss the challenges with Monza, Bologna, Torino, Atalanta and Empoli. The hope of Alessio Dionisi and the fans would be to have the player back for the match with Napoli, scheduled for Feb. 28. Should that not be the case, the return would slip toward the first half of March.
