Kaio Jorge responds to Suslov: Frosinone draws in Verona
Hellas Verona-Frosinone 1-1
The match of the twenty-second day of Serie A between Hellas Verona and Frosinone ends in a draw. A point useful to move the rankings of both teams, with the Scaligeri in particular that regain the salvation zone reaching, at 18, Udinese and Cagliari, formations defeated in this round, respectively, by Atalanta and Torino.
After an initial study phase, in which the two teams were equal, Hellas had a huge opportunity to take the lead, at 37'when Duda could appear on the penalty spot to beat the penalty awarded, after a long VAR check, by referee La Penna for a foul in the area by Bourabia on Noslin: the Slovakian, however, was hypnotized by Turati and it remained 0-0.
In the first half recovery another penalty kick: again Bourabia the culprit, this time for a foul of hands in the area, and again a Slovak from the penalty spot, in this case Tomas Suslov. Unlike his teammate, however, the number 31 of the Scaligeri did not miss and Hellas went ahead 1-0, the result with which the teams went to halftime.
It takes Frosinone 13 minutes, after the whistle of the start of the second half, to find the equalizer: è the 58'; in fact, when Barrenechea touches the ball kicked from the flag by Soulé, facilitating the underhand intervention of Kaio Jorge. A goal in HCL sauce, since all three protagonists of the action dress this year's yellow and blue on loan from Juventus.
The pinwheel of changes breaks the rhythm a bit, but before the end both teams have a chance each to take it home: at 87'87' Cheddira hits the ball with a header from an excellent position but sends it into the bottom, two minutes later è Henry, from the opposite side, to devour the 2-1, shooting at Turati after finding himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
So it ends 1-1 at the Bentegodi, Hellas Verona and Frosinone thus finding the first draw of this 2024: the scaligeri after defeats against Inter and Roma and the home success against Empoli, the ciociari after the defeats against Monza, Juventus (in the Coppa Italia) and Atalanta and the comeback victory against Cagliari last week.
