The words of Amedeo Della Valle

Interviewed by “Tuttosport”, Amedeo and Carlo Della Valle talked about their relationship on and off the court, starting with what it means to be “son of art” for the current Germani Brescia captain: “Not a particular meaning. I had a goal to follow what my father had done, for one simple reason: I always liked pallacanestro. In sports my father has always been and will always be a source of inspiration. And I don't know what it means to be under pressure from parents”.

For Carlo, on the other hand, what does it mean to be a “father of art”? “That it is a pleasure to see him playre basketball. But most of all I am proud of how Amedeo is on a human level, how he behavesta with teammates, with adverssaries, with coaches. If he plays well for me he puts a cherryna on the cake, but that is already buona because of his way of being and acting”.

Looking ahead to the 2024 Frecciarossa Final Eight, Amedeo recalls the triumph in the last edition of the Germani: “We were coming from a particular momento. Things werent going very well, we needed to find ourselves again. Even on a personal level I had problems. The Final Eight turned us on, we found entusiasm and energy that we thought we didnt have. A thrilling victory that I will associate for the rest of my life with a recordo of a special person, my dear friend Carlotta who just in those days had left us”.

Carlo also remembers the success of last year with great pleasure: “Brescia had arrived at the Finali without much pressure. They wereti good at pulling themselves together and playingre excellently as a team. I remember the happy faces after the victory. In particular, that of the club’s owner, Mauro Ferrari, repaid for the many investimenti made with a success that allowed the club to enter the history of Italian basketball”.
