Alessandra Fanali four strokes away from the feat

Alessandra Fanali è went just four strokes short of the feat. The 24-year-old from Fiuggi finished second in the Magical Kenya Open with a score of 284 (70 73 67 74, -8). On the Vipingo Ridge course (par 73), she had finished in the lead on "moving day" in the company of Shannon Tan.

In the final round, the 19-year-old from Singapore made the difference and came out on top with a total of 280 strokes (73 70 67 70, -12). The success allowed the Asian to put 45,000 euros in her pocket against a total prize pool of 300,000.

L'Azzurra, who graduated in the U.S. from Arizona State University, put herself on the map in 2023 in her first season on the LET with five top 10s and a team success in the Aramco Team Series Riyadh. And she is off to a great start in 2024 in Kenya.
