Luciano Darderi fantastic: cheers again blue tennis
Another triumph for Italian tennis: Luciano Darderi won the Cordoba ATP 250, clinching his first ATP title on the circuit. The 21-year-old Italo-Argentine, who thanks to this victory enters the top 100 in the world rankings, beat Facundo Bagnis in two sets, crowning a resounding week on clay.
Darderi è prevailed with the scores of 6-1, 6-4 against the Argentine tennis player in one hour and 23 minutes of play. A score that does not explain the clear superiority of Darderi, especially on the physical level. L'Azzurro thus becomes number 76 in the world: the Italians in the top 100 thus become 6, the others being Jannik Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, Matteo Arnaldi, Lorenzo Sonego and Flavio Cobolli.
On the other hand, there are 15 Azzurri among the top 200 tennis players: among them is Matteo Berrettini, currently in 124th position.
"I always felt good, è a special victory", said Darderi, who started from the qualifiers and eliminated opponents such as Baez, Hanfmann and Ofner.
