Ferrari, Vasseur not at all surprised by Sainz

Despite his season-ending farewell, Sainz has started the season at his best

Those who had doubts about Sainz è professionalism were silenced after only the first round of the World Championship. Despite the fact that his fate is already sealed (at the end of the season he will leave the Rossa to make way for Hamilton), the Spaniard made things clear right away: he wants to have a super year so that he can prove to everyone that he is one of the best drivers around. In Bahrain he packed an excellent third place.

Everyone amazed? Certainly not Vasseur. Ferrari’s team principal had no doubts about that. The Spaniard’s great performance only confirmed his thinking: "I was convinced that this would be his reaction. That’s whyé we made the announcement so early (Hamilton at Ferrari in 2025), to turn the page and focus only on the season", his words reported by the Spanish media AS.

"His reaction è was as professional as è. He has a whole season ahead of him and he will give it his all until the last corner. He did a very good job in Bahrain and I am more than happy", the commentary of Vasseur himself who now expects the same performance, or even something more, in the next round of the calendar, namely the Saudi Arabian GP.
