Pecco Bagnaia, don&#39t panic: "I didn't expect it, but it canò happen"

Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia confessed his disappointment after the first day of free practice of the Qatar GP, the first round of the MotoGp World Championship. The world champion rider struggled to find the right feeling in the first session, and did not è go beyond tenth place. The rain did not allow him to improve in the second, but the two-time world champion did not è panic after the bitter Friday.

"Definitely not è it was the first day I expected. Unfortunately, I did not have the best feeling. The bike worked well, something else didn’t, but it can’t happen. I am not happy overall, forò our potential è moreù high and we can fight for the best positions", explained the Piedmontese centaur.

Bagnaia did not want to specify if he was referring to the tires: "Nothing, my feeling was not the best…. We know our potential, so I expect to have good feelings tomorrow. The conditions will not be the best because of the sand, so weò will try to get the maximum and be in the top 10. We have to remain calm".

"It was better not to put a new tire,” explained Bagnaia, “because we already knew our potential thanks to testing. We just wanted to identify which bike I liked better, because thereé was a small change, and we managed to do it. We were still in the ten, but I expected to have a normal FP2 to find our speed again.

Eyes on rookie Pedro Acosta, who impressed: "Let’s remember that Martin made podium here right away as a rookie, so there are some people who only need a little time to be fast, but I’ve already said it in testing: è it’s better to leave him quiet because he already has a lot of pressure on him".
