The words of Roger Federer

Roger Federer è returned to speak to the microphones of GQ Sports magazine: “Now I am really relieved. In the last few years è it was hard for my knee. I felt that the end was approaching. At the exact moment of retirement, però I felt pain. I knew it was going to be hard, both the moment of retirement and everything that preceded it. Then you have flashbacks that come back to rooster when you review the highlights. I felt a very strong emotion, something that è always been a part of your life is gone forever, even if it was you who wanted it. But I experienced a better ending than I wished“.

“I don’t miss tennis. I often get asked that question, but I don’t miss it. I really feel at peace, I think it is becauseé I know that the knee, the body and the mind would not allow me to play. I would still be able to take certain shots, but I feel like a squeezed lemon. I gave it my all. Now I enjoy playing tennis with my children”.

Closing remark on current affairs'_ “I don&#39t like to put pressure on young people because honestly aiming for 20 Slams was never my thought nor was it the goal of Nadal and Djokovic. There are players who I think can win more Slams. Someone will take the game forward and become a superstar in the sport, I think of Alcaraz and Sinner. There’è a lot of curiosityà about that. The next two years will give us a’ more precise” idea.
