Charles Leclerc, second in Sprint qualifying, responded to those who criticized him after his mistake during the first lap of free practice at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver due to a spin suffered on the first lap è was forced to skip the rest of the session, and many people targeted him.

Leclerc è then managed to make up for it with some excellent qualifying, in which he finished second, well ahead of teammate Carlos Sainz, who was fifth. "Qualifying has been a weak point the last two weekends, although in China è it was slightly better, but we didn’t have the car to show those improvements. The weekend had started in a difficult way becauseé unfortunately I did one lap in free practice, so I had to approach qualifying by going full throttle right away. I have no idea about our race pace, I can hope to have a good Sprint and have a very good pace for Sunday".
