Max Verstappen on pole, but Ferrari is close: “We know what to do”
Despite yet another pole position, some concern there'è.
Max Verstappen on pole position at the Miami Grand Prix, but some concern about Ferrari's growth is there. The Dutchman was in fact a few hundredths ahead of the two Ferraris, and particularly close appears to be that of Charles Leclerc, who also in the previous Sprint Race had not allowed him his usual breakaway. The world champion therefore admitted that his Red Bull appears less perfect than usual, but that a strategy to limit the Cavallino already c'è.
"We have improved the car a little bit. Forè I don't know why, but every time we come here I find it extremely difficult to have some consistency in the feeling with the single-seater. And è soè especially on the dry lap – admitted Verstappen talking about the performance of his Red Bull in Miami -. Doing both the first and third sectors well è very complicated. Managing to put it all together è a feat, and even today the problem è was finding the right balance".
" It wasn’t the most enjoyable lap of my career,” Verstappen added, “but we did quite well. The fact remains that the Miami track è very slippery, you can’t find that much confidence in the lap. Però we are in pole position, and this è obviously the most important thing. Already; during the Sprint Race we è seemed to have more control, we hope to confirm that tomorrow".
Verstappen è then focused on the difficulties that during the Sprint Race in Miami Leclerc’s Ferrari had created for him: "We know what we did wrong, and also what I did wrong personally. I will try to do well what I have to do, which è simply what I have done in the last few starts. That way everything should go the right way".
