Sara Errani surrendered decisively to Ukraine's Elina Svitolina, the 16th seed and No. 19 in the WTA rankings, in the second round of the Internazionali d'Italia. The tennis player from Romagna succumbed to the two-time queen of Rome in two sets (0-6 2-6) after just over an hour and a quarter of play.
One-sided first set for Svitolina, who did not give up a single game to Errani. In the second partial, the Italian tried to fight back, taking a 2-0 lead.
