Brindisi welcomes back Piero Bucchi: he is the new white and blue coach

Piero Bucchi is returning to New Basket Brindisi. This was announced è by the same white-blue club on Thursday, in a press release in which it praised the Bolognese coach, fresh from his experience at Dinamo Sassari. For him it is as said a return, after the five-year period 2011-2016. Meanwhile, he had also been in Pesaro, Caserta, Rome and Cantù as well as in the national team in the role of deputy to Meo Sacchetti.

"It is announced with great excitement and satisfaction that the technical leadership of the first team è has been entrusted for the next two years to Piero Bucchi, the coach ranked first in activityà in Serie A with most games coached (755) and fifth overall for number of games in the top Italian league", reads the note from Brindisi.

The club then went over Bucchi’s previous experience: "More"than two hundred benches in biancoazzurro starting from the 2011/12 season, with the victory of the Legadue Coppa Italia and the return to the top league. One hundred and twenty-eight appearances in League A, sixty victories, four consecutive stays, three Final Eight qualifiers, two Scudetto playoff appearances, first two European competitions played".
