The Monegasque è back from third place at the GP dell'Emilia Romagna

In Imola, with the new upgrades, è came third at the finish, behind Verstappen and Norris. He would have liked to have done more;. In the post-match, è he was clear: "Monaco will be special". In fact, he runs at home, in front of his audience. The desire è the same since è landed in F1: to win the Monaco GP.

To date, he è never succeeded, in fact, he è never even got on the podium in Monte Carlo. His score at the home GP è definitely negative. With Sauber, 2018 season, he è arrived 18° to the finish line. Also decidedly uninspiring were his results at the wheel of Ferrari.

In 2019 he è retired. In 2020, no GP because of Covid. Black luck in 2021. First the pole position and then the inability to start because of a driveshaft problem. Also in 2022 he makes the pole position but, in the race, he finishes with a fourth place that tastes like a mockery. And we are at the last edition of the Monaco GP, which ended with an anonymous sixth place.

Clearly, Leclerc is aiming to make his mark this weekend. Ferrari has confirmed that it has excellent potential, but it will have to contend not only with the usual Verstappen on Red Bull, but also with the McLarens who, at Imola, showed that they have a remarkable race pace. Three teams fighting for victory, which has never happened in the recent history of Formula 1.
