Juan Carlos Ferrero, a great former clay court specialist and current coach of Carlos Alcaraz, praised his pupil at BBC microphones ahead of Roland Garros, which should mark his return to the court after forfeits in Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Rome.

"What I like most about him è he always thinks big, not just small. To be one of the best players of all time you have to think big, there’è no other choice. We know it will be  difficult to break certain records, but we are here to try, to try to do the best we can".

"Right now I think the surface that best suits his tennis is cement. Carlos has è developed on this type of court, but è he can do very well on the clay that he è grew up on. I think he will win Roland Garros at least once, he has the game to do it", Ferrero added.
