Lucia Bronzetti takes a rematch with Martina Trevisan in Rabat
Lucia Bronzetti-Martina Trevisan 6-2 6-3
Lucia Bronzetti takes her revenge in the all-Blue derby with Martina Trevisan in the round of 16 of the WTA 250 in Rabat. If two years ago on Moroccan soil it was the Tuscan tennis player who prevailed, this time the Romagna player got the better of her, who won in two sets (6-2 6-3) after an hour and 37 minutes of play.
In the first set, the balance is broken in the sixth game: Trevisan concedes two break points to Bronzetti, and on the second one the Romagnola player does not forgive, going up 4-2. Lucia also wins the next two games, posting a partial run of four consecutive games that allows her to win the first partial 6-2.
In the second set Trevisan reacted by twice winning the break lead (1-0 and 2-1), but failing to confirm it on both occasions. Thus, in the eighth game Bronzetti punished her opponent, taking away her serve and going to serve for the set, filing the case with a valuable bunt (6-3).
Bronzetti thus flies to the quarterfinals of the 'Grand Prix Sar la Princesse Lalla Meryem' where she will face the U.S. Peyton Stearns, number 81 in the WTA ranking, who eliminated the sixth seed Xiyu Wang in two sets (6-3 6-1).
