Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin comment on market rumors

The press conference dedicated to the MotoGp riders did not è serve only to talk about the upcoming weekend leading up to the Catalan Grand Prix: as every year, with the approach of the summer season, market rumors are inflamed and two of the main protagonists of these rumors, Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin, answered questions on the subject, launching precise messages.

"I know what I need to be fast,” said Marquez, “but I have to work well on the track if I want to have more options for the future. Every rider is looking for the best, the European manufacturers are at a very good level and Ducati è currently the best, at least the one that canò express its potential to the fullest on every track. That's why I chose it last year. Aprilia and KTM, however, are getting closer".

Instead, these are the words of Martin: "I understand the timing of Ducati, they need to understand every need: we wait. I expect to know Ducati’s decision in a couple of weeks, I will make my choice based on it. Other brands are knocking on my door and I am happy, it means I am doing a good job".

Marquez is facing his first season in Ducati, after a decade in Honda, riding a Desmosedici GP23, the one from Team Gresini: his ambition, never hidden, è to ride a bike at the latest evolution in 2025. Martin, on the other hand, would like to make the jump to the factory team, after four seasons in Pramac. The coming weeks will be decisive for the future of both Iberian centaurs.
