Juventus, Koopmeiners likely to slip away: there’s the alternative
Juventus evaluates new possibilities for midfield
A few weeks ago the landing of Teun Koopmeiners seemed almost a done deal, now instead the Bianconeri management is studying 'plan B'. According to a report by 'Sportmediaset', in fact, Atalanta is reportedly considering other options for the Dutchman's transfer, preferring a foreign league as a destination: that is why the Bianconeri would turn to another midfielder, Lazio’s Matteo Guendouzi.
The knot between Juventus and Atalanta è related to the cost of the transfer: the Nerazzurri, in fact, have set a cost of 60 million euros to free Koopmeiners, a figure that the Bianconeri would like to be lower but that may be within the reach of foreign clubs, even important ones, particularly those of the Premier League.
As for Guendouzi, on the other hand, there is talk of first contacts to verify the willingness of the player to transfer, something not taken for granted given that the Frenchman, who arrived in the Capital last summer on loan from Olympique Marseille, è been redeemed by the biancoceleste club for the occurrence of one of the conditions established by the agreement between the two clubs (in particular, the arrival among the top 12 in the standings).
All that remains, therefore, is to wait for the evolution of negotiations to understand how the midfield at the disposal of what will be the new Juventus coach, which all indications say will be Thiago Motta, will change.
The Italo-Brazilian’s officialization will also serve to boost the Bianconeri’s summer market.
