Civitanova says goodbye to Enrico Diamantini

Cucine Lube Civitanova announced the farewell of center Enrico Diamantini. Gone is a piece of history for the white-and-red club, an athlete who began his journey in the nursery, as a prospect, with a few summonses to the first team, then cut his teeth around Italy before returning to the base and becoming part of a team capable of playing a central role in the world of volleyball.

In his six years there "Diama" he lifted to the sky the Champions League, the World Club Championship, three Scudetti and two Italian Cups. Excellent results that would have been even more striking without the stop to SuperLega and Champions League due to the health emergency with Lube leading the Regular Season and already in the Semifinals in the top European club tournament.

“Even the most beautiful stories have an end, I knew that someday I could take another direction,” Diamantini told official club channels. “Tying myself to the club indefinitely would have been suggestive, but sport, like life, with time puts you in front of new challenges and unprecedented adventures. For me è it was intoxicating to win so much, to grow in all aspects with a team from my region, at a meager distance from family and affections, surrounded by fraternal friends".

"The warmth of the fans and the memory of the titles won, starting with my first Scudetto, snatched in Perugia with my teeth, and the Champions League, are something indelible. Soì as I will archive every experience, but I am an athlete and so I will move on. With this team I have written good stories, but the fire inside me burns more than ever and projects me into the future with curiosity, enthusiasm and grit!" concluded the red and white center.
