Milan forced to unravel difficult Maignan situation
È Mike Maignan’s renewal with AC Milan is still being discussed: the goalkeeper is asking for a super-salary to extend his contract but the Rossoneri have clear financial stakes and are unlikely to make exceptions (so far the only one who has won it è has been Rafael Leao).
Complicating matters are the foreign sirens: Maignan è was recently accosted by Manchester City, a club that surely has the economic power to make an unwinnable offer to the Diavolo. The Citizens could lose Ederson, tempted by the Saudi Pro League, and would like to replace him with Magic Mike. There has also been talk in the past about Bayern Munich: the Bavarians are probing several profiles to identify the heir to Manuel Neuer, who just turned 38. Maignan è one of the names on the list.
By ad Furlani's own admission, Milan does not need to sell any top player but the feeling è that one between Theo Hernandez, Maignan and Leao will leave Milan this summer. The closest to a farewell is the full-back but, in order to land at Bayern Munich, the club must first complete the sale of Alphonso Davies.
