F1, Carlos Sainz did not take it well at all
According to several rumors, he would already have an agreement with Williams
Sainz’s future continues to hold sway. For months, there have been questions about where the Spaniard, now in his last year at Ferrari (he will leave his single-seater to Hamilton), will run. In Canada, Sainz decided to respond, in a rather direct way, to all those who are spreading unfounded rumors about his future.
"There's no deal. I have seen articles telling that I have already signed and I don't understand, since I have not signed any contract. It makes me laugh. A few months ago they said I had signed for Mercedes, then for Red Bull. Obviously none of this è happened. Now there'è who says I signed with Williams", his words reported by Marca.
The Ferrari driver added: "When I have something to announce, you will be the first to know (referring to the journalists present at the media meeting). All the options I have on the table are good. I am happy and proud to be able to choose my future in F1 in this way. I don't think there are many drivers who have this opportunity to choose where to race for the next two or three years".
Sainz plans to focus, at the moment, only on Ferrari and try to achieve the best possible results, maybe even giving a hand, as already happened, to teammate Leclerc. There will then be time and a way to choose his future. There's been no signing with any team.
