Mauro Icardi in Serie A: two clubs interested

After his excellent season with Galatasaray, Mauro Icardi could return to Serie A four years after the last time. On the Argentine there are Roma but especially Fiorentina, which è desperately looking for a new striker to give to Raffaele Palladino.

Roma will lose Romelu Lukaku and, if the right offer arrives, will also say goodbye to Tammy Abraham. The need to sign a new number 9 è is evident and on the list of the capital club is also the name of Mauro Icardi, who in the last season collected 32 goals and 12 assists. The salary issue has to be understood: the former Inter currently earns 10 million euros a year and has a contract with Galatasaray until 2026.

Should there be a will to return to Italy, however, salary may not be an issue. È that is what Fiorentina executives are also hoping for, as they are persistently probing the market in search of the ideal reinforcement for Raffaele Palladino. In addition to Icardi, the Gigliati are also monitoring Lorenzo Lucca and Mateo Retegui.

Mauro Icardi left Italy (not without controversy with Inter) in September 2019 to move to Paris Saint Germain. He did not find much space in France and in 2022 decided to settle in Turkey at Galatasaray. With the Turkish club è love was born immediately and Icardi è returned to shine: in the 73 matches played so far with the club, the Argentine has scored 55 goals and served 20 assists.
