Monza places the Omari Forson hit
Omari Forson lands at Monza
Monza made official on Tuesday the arrival in Brianza of Omari Forson, a young talent of the English Under-20 national team. Forson comes from Manchester United, a club with which he was linked by an agreement that expired precisely in June 2024: in recent days he had rejected the renewal offer with the Red Devils.
Offensive outfielder, Omari Forson signed a four-year deal with Monza, which will therefore expire on June 30, 2028. He is considered by insiders to be one of the most interesting prospects at the European level, so much so that he earned some space in the second half of the season just ended with Manchester United, with three appearances in the FA Cup then won against city rivals City.
Forson has so far racked up 14 appearances with England’s youth national teams, from the’Under 15 to the’Under 20, but he also holds a Ghanaian passport, due to his parents’ origins, and can therefore still choose whether to take part in top-level international competitions with the African country’s national team.
The one announced today è the first purchase of Monza in view of the 2024/25 season: a year that will start with a new coach, which barring resounding reversals will be Alessandro Nesta, but with the ambition of confirming the good results of the brianzoli's first two seasons ever in A, eleventh in 2023 and twelfth in 2024.
