ATP Stuttgart: Lorenzo Musetti makes up for Koepfer and flies to the quarters

Lorenzo Musetti continues his journey at the Stuttgart ATP 250. After a first-round victory over Mpetshi Perricard, the Carrara player è repeated himself against German left-handed Dominik Koepfer, world number 65, defeated in a comeback with a final score of 6-7 7-6 6-3 after 2 hours and 47 minutes of play.
In the first set both players conceded little or nothing on serve until 5-4 Musetti. Here the Azure gets a break point that coincides with a set point but fails to exploit it, as well as the two procured in the 12th game. It then comes down to the tie-break, won 11-9 by Koepfer after canceling two more set points for the Carrara native.
The second set also saw both tennis players easily hold their respective turnovers, with the exception of the second game in which Musetti è did well to cancel two break points to Koepfer. It goes to the tie-break again, but this time to prevail è the Carrara player for 7-5, winning the last four points of the decisive game.
In the last and decisive set came the first break of the match and Musetti won it in the fourth game (3-1). The blue, however, is immediately taken back (3-3) by his opponent. Musetti però è was good at not getting discomforted and placing a new and decisive stretch that was worth winning the partial 6-3.
With this victory, Musetti advances to the quarterfinals of the 'Boss Open' where he will face the winner of the challenge between Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik, third seed and number 17 in the world, and Serbia’s Hamad Medjedovic, number 131 in the ATP ranking.
