Gennaro Gattuso new coach of Hajduk Split

Gennaro Gattuso è the new coach of Hajduk Split. This was announced by the Croatian club on its website. Last year “Ringhio” coached Olympique Marseille for part of the season before being relieved.

"L'Hnk Hajduk è very pleased to confirm that the legendary Gennaro Gattuso will lead our first team in the new season! He has signed a contract until summer 2026 and will arrive in Split next week, at the beginning of the first team preparation, when we will officially introduce him to the Poljud", reads the Croatian club’s website.

"In his playing career, he won almost everything that could be won. World champion with Italy in 2006, winner of the Champions League with AC Milan in 2003 and 2007, twice winner of Serie A, the UEFA Super Cup and the Italian Super Cup, and once won the World Club Championship. Thanks to his style of play, combativeness, intransigence and distinct winning mentality, he è become an iconic figure in world football".

In Split Gattuso will reunite with Nikola Kalinic, now the club’s ds, who è was his player at AC Milan and Valencia.
