Jannik Sinner is already looking ahead to the Olympics. In fact, the South Tyrolean, who is freshly ranked number one in the world in the ATP rankings, has undergone routine medical examinations in Rome, as part of CONI's protocol 'athletes likely to be Olympians' ahead of the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
"I am very happy,” the Italian told official CONI channels. We have done the medical examinations, I am fine. Now we have to keep working: I will play the Halle ATP 500, Wimbledon and of course the Olympics, which will be a key moment in my career".
On the new position of world number one, the first Italian in history to achieve it: "World number 1? È a very good feeling, but this year I’ll be just 23: I’ll still have a lot of work to do. My path è just started".
"Going to the’Olympics for me è a great honor – continued the 22-year-old South Tyrolean – It will be playedà in Europe, I am very excited. I am curious to meet all the other Azzurri besides Filippo and to make a team all together".
"Goals? They are the same as before: to improve both as a tennis player and as a person. In the’immediate focus è on Wimbledon, where I will tryò to go as far as possible, and of course on Paris 2024 to try to win a medal" concluded Sinner.
