Carlos Alcaraz-Rafael Nadal in doubles in Paris 2024: è all true
After numerous rumors circulated over the past few months, è finally came the official word: Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will also hunt for a medal in doubles at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The other pair, however, will be formed by two of Pablo Carreno Busta, Alejandro Davidovich and Marcel Granollers.
Making known the decision to bet on the two champions also in the doubles was Spanish national team coach David Ferrer: "I couldn’t win a medal as a player, I hope to do it as captain. We have very good players and I am convinced that we can aim to bring home more than one medal".
On the same wavelength as the former tennis player is Spanish Federtennis president Miguel Diaz: "Between men and women, we can aspire to two or three medals. At the recent Roland Garros è we were unlucky to find the most in-form player of the moment that is Zverev. The Parisian surface, però advantages us, and I am sure Rafa will be able to assert himself. We are confident that we can be competitive in both singles and doubles".
Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz are candidates to be the most titled couple in tennis history, as the 38-year-old boasts more than 22 Slams (as many as 14 at Roland Garros) and the most wins on clay. The Murcian, on the other hand, has already won three slam tournaments on three different surfaces and is fresh from his triumph at the French Open, which allowed him to return to second place in the ATP rankings behind Jannik Sinner.
