A year without Silvio Berlusconi

One year after Silvio Berlusconi’s passing, Mediaset employees and collaborators gathered in Cologno Monzese together with Pier Silvio to remember him. Also in connection were the offices in Rome and Madrid.

"My father è was an exceptional man in the true sense of the word – said Pier Silvio Berlusconi -With his thinking and with his actions he taught us invaluable values. Values that today are an example. They are an example not only for those who loved him but also for those who did not love him or even opposed him…".

"His politeness, his humanity, his combativeness and his generosity; today they are recognized by everybody and they are appreciated by everybody. And I think this is a great merit and perhaps his greatest legacy. I have been fortunate enough to be able to remember my father on several occasions. And I have mentioned the words that he held most dear: freedom, respect and the future. Well, today I want to use the word that most of all represents him. A word disarming in its simplicity. But also the strongest, most powerful and universal word of all: Silvio Berlusconi, my father, è love! My father had a unique ability to love and to be loved. My father è love for life. Love for the family. Love for work. And unconditional love for his country” concluded the Mediaset CEO.

During Silvio Berlusconi’s 31 years as president, from 1986 to 2017, Milan won a total of 29 trophies: 8 Scudettos (1987-88, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94, 1995-96, 1998-99, 2003-04, 2010-11), 1 Coppa Italia (2002-03), 7 Italian Super Cups (1988, 1992, 1993, 1994, 2004, 2011, 2016), 5 Champions League (1988-89, 1989-90, 1993-94, 2002-03, 2006-07), 2 Intercontinental Cups (1989, 1990), 5 Uefa Super Cups (1989, 1990, 1994, 2003, 2007), 1 Club World Cup (2007). The icing on the cake was the historic first promotion to Serie A of Monza, bought by the entrepreneur when it was in Serie C.
