De Ligt speaks out

"It’ annoying" this is how De Ligt reacted during a meeting with the press regarding the Dutch national team’s large list of injuries. First è Marten de Roon ended up knocked out, then è it was the turn of Frenkie de Jong and Teun Koopmeiners. The Oranje selection è again consisted of 26 players, after the inclusion of Ian Maatsen and Joshua Zirkzee.

The Bologna player è was added to the team after Brobbey's injury. "How is he? You have to ask him, I think he is fine, but I am not a doctor, so I cannot give further information" answered De Ligt promptly to questions about the Ajax striker.

Should De Ligt play against Poland, it would be his first game at the European Championships since June 27, 2021. On that day he received a red card for a hand foul against the Czech Republic, after which the Netherlands lost 0-2 in the round of 16 of Euro 2020.
