NBA Finals: Doncic and Irving save Dallas and send party back to Boston
NBA Finals: Dallas wins Game 4 and sends party back to Boston
After three defeats in a row and with their backs against the wall, è came a reaction of pride from Dallas, which overwhelmed Boston in Game 4 by a score of 122-84, forcing Game 5 and postponing the Celtics'appointment with the title at least until Game 5, where the green-and-whites will have the second match point.
On the shields the usual Luka Doncic, who, after the criticism suffered after Game 3, turns out to be an important factor also in the defensive half of the court. The Slovenian finished with 29 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 recoveries and an extraordinary plus-minus of +30 in 32 minutes. Good performance also for Kyrie Irving who closes with 21 points and 9/12 from two points.
What made the difference in the Mavs house, however, was the performance and the excellent percentages from three by the "supporting cast". Great protagonist è Dereck Lively, who finished with another double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds (7 offensive). Good game also for Dante Exum (10) and Tim Hardaway Jr (15).
There'è little to save in Boston, as the Joe Mazzulla-coached franchise basically lasted two quarters before sinking in scoring. The top scorer è Jayson Tatum with 15 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 10.
The series now returns to TD Garden, where Boston will haveà the chanceà to win the 18th title in its history in front of its own audience. Dallas, for its part, will be forced to win to avoid elimination and force Game 6 at the American Airlines Center. Game two on the night of Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18.
