The long Red and White won 22 career titles, including four times the Euroleague

Hines was also there at the media day organized by Olimpia Milano to celebrate the 31° title of Champions of Italy. Many expected the long red and white player to announce his retirement. Instead, at least for the moment, no farewell to basketball. The 37-year-old Hines has, in fact, stalled.

"I am not ready to make any official announcement or to talk and discuss the future. The most important thing for me è to appreciate what we have done with my teammates. È a’very rare opportunity, all in one place. I want to have fun and live in the moment. Then I will make a decision and communicate it. I have not yet decided what I will doò in the future, forò certainly basketball è has always been my life, it è still is and ità still will be, so in some role I will continue to be involved in basketball, we will see which", his clear words to the media present.

The feeling è that Hines is ready to do something else with his life. After winning practically everything as a player (22 trophies, including the Euroleague four times), the white-and-white all-star seems destined for an important role off the court. He could become a great coach or, perhaps, an executive at the highest level.

However, Coach Messina, in his heart, still hopes that he decides to postpone, once again, his retirement and can, for one more season, be the emotional leader of his team. We will know more shortly about the future of one of the most dominant players seen in Europe.
