Italy's final roster is beginning to take shape ahead of the Pre-Olympic Tournament in Puerto Rico. After the conclusion of the Scudetto Final series, players from Virtus Bologna and Olimpia Milano are ready to join the rest of their teammates in Folgaria to continue training camp.
Joining the team tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18, will be athletes Awudu Abass, Giordano Bortolani, Guglielmo Caruso, Nicolò Melli, Alessandro Pajola, Achille Polonara, Giampaolo Ricci and Stefano Tonut. Meanwhile, the first cuts by Italian coach Gianmarco Pozzecco have also arrived, as Amedeo Tessitori, Tomas Woldetensae, Leonardo Marangon, Federico Miaschi, Grant Basile, Francesco Ferrari, Leonardo Faggian, Federico Poser and Mattia Palumbo have been cleared to leave the training camp.

The national team will continue its training camp in Folgaria until June 21, after which Italbasket will be engaged in two prestigious friendlies against Georgia in Trento (23/6) and Spain in Madrid (25/6). In conclusion, the Azzurri will leave for Puerto Rico, where they will play the Pre-Olympic tournament from July 2-7.
