Brescia gives direction to an old acquaintance of Italian basketball

Pallacanestro Brescia announced that it has reached an agreement with Montenegrin point guard Nikola Ivanovic, who last season played in the Russian championship with the Runa Moscow jersey. The class of 1994 player, 190 cm tall and 85 kg, already seen in Italy in Capo D’Orlando in 2017, recorded averages of 14 points and 4 assists in VTB United League.

Nikola Ivanovic began his career in Podgorica, his hometown, where he took his first steps in basketball in KK "Džoker". After seasons at Mornar and Budućnost, he è moved on to KK Mega Leks. His first experiences abroad were in AEK Athens and Orlandina Basket. He returned to Podgorica in 2017 and stayed there until the 2020/21 season, playing his last season with Amedeo Della Valle. The following season he switched to Red Star Belgrade, with whom he won two Serbian Cups and two national titles. After two seasons in ABA Liga he lands at Runa Moscow.

His palmarès boasts 6 Montenegrin championships won with Budućnost, 2 Serbian championships in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons with Red Star Belgrade, 7 Montenegro Cups, 3 Serbia Cups and two Adriatic League titles.

He also wore the jersey of the Montenegrin national team with which he played in the FIBA World Cup in 2019 and 2023 and Eurobasket in 2013 and 2017.
