Euro 2024, Gjasula makes and unmakes: 2-2 between Croatia and Albania

Euro 2024 Wednesday opens with a spectacular draw between Croatia and Albania. At the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, in fact, Dalic’s and Sylvinho’s selection gave goals and emotions: to the initial advantage of the Albanians signed by Laci, Kramaric and a Gjasula’s own goal for the Croatians answered in the second half. In the final forò the same Albanian midfielder made up for it, giving Albania the equalizer.
Albania got off to a strong start and broke the deadlock after just ten minutes: Asani on the right flank crossed into the middle for Laci, who slotted Livakovic in at the first post with a winning header. On 30’ Asani on a counterattack serves Asllani in depth, but Livakovic è good at denying the Albanians the double. It goes to halftime on 1-0 for Sylvinho's men.
At the start of the second half Croatia’s first ring with newcomer Sucic committing Strakosha with a left-footed shot. On 74’ Croatia equalized: Kovacic served Budimir, who made a veil for Kramaric, who finished at the first post catching Strakosha off-guard. Two minutes later the Croatians completed the comeback with an unfortunate own goal by Gjasula. With this draw Croatia and Albania both climb to one point in Group B, where Spain and Italy (with 3 points) lead, who will play each other Thursday evening at 9 p.m. at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. On the final day, the Croatians will take on Italy, while the Albanians will face Spain.
