Italvolley, rounds drawn for Olympics

The PalaHuamark in Bangkok, venue of the VNL Finals (June 20-23), hosted the long-awaited “drawing of lots” of the Pools of the Olympic women’s volleyball tournament. Italy, seeded No. 3 by virtue of its 2° place in the world ranking obtained at the end of the intercontinental phase of the Volleyball Nations League, è was placed in Pool C with Turkey (2° bracket), Netherlands (3° bracket), Dominican Republic (4° bracket).

In Pool A, with hosts France, USA (2° bracket), China (3° bracket) and Serbia (4° bracket) have been drawn. Pool B, finally will be composed of Brazil (seeded), Poland (2° bracket), Japan (3° bracket) and Kenya (4° bracket).
