Jannik Sinner, Ivan Ljubicic sibylline: "Federer has won so many times in Halle…"
Ivan Ljubicic, Roger Federer’s former coach, extols Jannik Sinner just days before the start of Wimbledon: "I think he is a beautiful example for young people. Not that other players aren't, but he has a special way of doing things: he doesn't get excited when he wins and doesn't make dramas when he loses,' said the former Croatian tennis player to Sky Sports.
Sinner won his first tournament as world number one in Halle: "He does his job, he does what he says: his greatest talent è to put in the work. Jannik è like this; the character you don’t change it and he will continue like this; and this very thing will take him very high. How high? We’ll see. He just won his first Slam and now he keeps winning more tournaments".
On the grass of Wimbledon he will be the favorite with Alcaraz: "Federer has won so many Wimbledon tournaments after winning Halle… Let's see if it will be Sinner's turn as well. Before Roland Garros there were so many question marks, especially from the physical point of view regarding Alcaraz, Sinner and Djokovic who was fine but did not have the match rhythm. Now è everything is different: it looks like Sinner and Alcaraz are fine and are the favorites. Djokovic will è have surgery but will try to be there: that would be a beautiful thing. But, right now, my favorites are, I repeat, Jannik and Carlos".
