Euro 2024: round of 16 finals defined, unbalanced scoreboard

With the last matches of Group F concluded, the round of 16 of Euro 2024 have been defined: the group stage has produced a strongly unbalanced draw, with most of the favorites at the top, while it has gone very well for Luciano Spalletti's Italy, which with the second place in its group è ended up in the bottom half and will avoid Germany, Portugal, France and Spain until a possible final.

The possible quarterfinal crossover between Spain and hosts Germany stands out. World vice-champion France will have to deal with a tricky customer, De Bruyne’s Belgium, while Calzona’s Slovakia will face England: whoever wins this match will challenge the winner of Switzerland-Italy for a place in the semifinals. Vincenzo Montella and his Turkey will face Austria. The Azzurri thank Zaccagni: without his goal in 98' against Croatia Italy would have been eliminated.
