Eusebio Di Francesco è the new coach of Venezia

Eusebio Di Francesco è the new coach of Venezia. It was announced by the same lagoon club via an official statement: "Venezia FC announces that it has entrusted Eusebio Di Francesco with the position of first team coach. Di Francesco has signed a two-year contract until the end of the 2025/26" season.

Born in Pescara, Di Francesco has a rich career as a soccer player behind him, in which he è earned 13 appearances and one goal with the Italian senior national team, winning the Scudetto with Roma and totaling 252 appearances in Serie A and 96 appearances in Serie B.

Fifty-five years yet to turn, Di Francesco boasts, in his coaching career, promotions in Serie B with Pescara and in Serie A with Sassuolo, as well as a historic UEFA Europa League qualification with Sassuolo in the 2015/16 season and a third-place finish with Roma in the 2017/18 season, also reaching the Champions League semifinals 34 years after’the last time.
