Alpine, after Briatore’s signing there is Gasly’s
The renewal of Pierre Gasly
Pierre Gasly has renewed his contract with Alpine. The winner of the 2020 Italian GP (at the wheel of the then AlphaTauri now Racing Bulls) was due to expire at the end of 2025 but has signed "long term" reads the note released by the French team.
"I am really happy to be part of the F1 project. The current season is proving difficult on the track, but I remain confident about the project. I am satisfied with the changes made and the direction the team’s work has taken".
The signing è came a week after that of Flavio Briatore, who was appointed by Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo as its executive adviser: "He will focus on the team's high-level areas, including: scouting for top talent and providing insights into the driver market, challenging the existing project by evaluating the current structure and advising on certain strategic issues within the sport".
