Jasmine Paolini stops at the most beautiful in Eastbourne

WTA Eastbourne: Daria Kasatkina-Jasmine Paolini 3-6 7-5 6-3

Jasmine Paolini's adventure at the Eastbourne grass tournament stopped in the semifinals. The Italian tennis player, in fact, è was defeated in a comeback by Russian Daria Kasatkina with the score of 3-6 7-5 6-3, after a match of great intensityà.

The match starts immediately uphill for Paolini, who fails to get into the match and immediately suffers a break. The Italian, however, slowly manages to find rhythm and after recovering the disadvantage she manages to take a 4-2 lead. Kasatkina has a mini reaction, as she again manages to snatch the serve from her rival, who forò places three consecutive games, winning the first set.

In the second set, the two players manage to be more incisive on serve and concede fewer opportunities. The first break chances have the Italian number one in the third game, but the Russian è deftly saved. The next game è Paolini to get herself out of trouble, nullifying no less than three break points. The turning point, however, came in the 11th game, where the Tuscan gave the second set to her opponent because of a backhand error.

In the deciding set, the Italian player started off in fourth gear and immediately took a 2-0 lead. After the good start, however, the inertia shifted to the side of the Togliatti native, who first recovered the break and then extended her lead thanks to a partial of more than 12 points in a row. Paolini, who dropped considerably in intensity during the third set, tried to fight back, but the Russian è was good at closing the score at 6-3.

In the final Daria Kasatkina will face Canadian Leylah Fernandez.
