Adriano Panatta praises Jannik Sinner and expounds on the future of Italian tennis

During a speech at the microphones of "TG Plus Sport Treviso", on the occasion of the "A Champion in the Family" tour, Adriano Panatta, among the various topics discussed, wanted to emphasize what è was the importance of Jannik Sinner in the recent development of Italian tennis. In addition, the former player also commented on what could be the future of the Italian tennis movement.

"There was no need for a champion like Sinner solely for tennis, but in general in Italian sports. Whenever an athlete comes out, in any discipline, who has a great example behavior even for the youngest è it is a beautiful sign of what sport can do, which is to stimulate and bring passion to young people to convince them more and more to do sports" began the former Italian tennis player.

"Blue tennis I see it very well and I think that better than that; it can not go. We have a lot of players at the top of the world rankings and a lot of younger players who are slowly approaching the important areas of the Ranking. It has been so many years since such growth has happened in our tennis, so è very complicated that we can get even better results than we are getting now" added Adriano Panatta.

The next appointment for Jannik Sinner è the Wimbledon tournament. The new world number one è has been drawn on Carlos Alcaraz’s side and in case of a success in the opener against Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann, he could face Matteo Berrettini in the second round in an all-Italian derby.
