The weekend's most controversial episode finds a decision of the commissioners.

Pecco Bagnaia and Alex Marquez ended the MotoGP Aragon Grand Prix in the gravel after hooking up on lap 18° with their Ducatis as they dueled for third place. It was an extremely controversial episode, with the two protagonists sparing no barbs in their post-race analysis. Meanwhile, però race commissioners also analyzed the incident and made an official decision.

"We heard the two drivers, analyzed the images and telemetry. Both explained that the grip was very poor off the line, a factor that undoubtedly affected their chances of avoiding the collision. We have therefore come to the conclusion that no one has any particular responsibility, so no action will be taken,” reads the official MotoGP document. No penalties, therefore, né for Pecco Bagnaie and not even against Alex Marquez.

Quite different had been the hot reading of Pecco Bagnaia: When I was in front of him we were still straight, the corner had not yet started, I made a trajectory also quite wide, once we entered I felt that he gave a hit of gas, I wanted to see the telemetry: he did not close the gas until he was on the ground. When one takes you full in this way he apologizes, he also sent me to hell, we have a different view of things, but the dynamic è clear", said the Ducati’s Piedmontese.

Marc Marquez, on the other hand, è rushed to defend his brother already in the immediate aftermath of the race. "I saw the incident – said the eight-time world champion at the press conference – For me Pecco è was very optimistic in trying to pass him on the outside trying to use that trajectory, because é if you go on the dirt it all becomes more risky. I think it was just a very unfortunate situation and I hope both of them are okay".

Alex Marquez had also responded to Bagnaia’s criticism: "If anyone could have avoided the contact, it was him who had seen me and didn’t have to close: if he left a meter nothing would have happened and no one fell. I understand that he is playing for a World Championship, which was a good chanceà to get on the podium, I’m sorry that we finished our race soì".
