MotoGP, Marc Marquez has no illusions about the fight for the world championship
Marc Marquez spoke to El Larguero, broadcast on Cadena Ser, private Spanish radio, about his double victory in the Grands Prix held in Aragon and Misano. Here is what the Spaniard of Ducati Team Gresini said.
“The victory in Aragon è was very exciting, although we already expected to triumph; in Misano, on the other hand, I didn’t seem to have any chance. Però as far as the World Championship is concerned, I am not changing my mind from some time ago”.
"To be really competitive, I have to improve in certain aspects. In particular, I must not make mistakes in key sessions, such as qualifying in Misano. Of course, as long as ité be possible, we will give our best during every race. When the first victory comes, we feel more free. From here to the end of the season we cannot win all the time, but getting on the podium frequently will be one of the goals”.
“In my opinion è much better to end up in the team of the’current world champion, becauseé it means that a rider is working well. Pecco analyzes everything and è able to turn a complicated weekend”.
“I know I have a better chance of losing to Bagnaia because heé has been riding the Ducati for more years and knows the bike better. But besides, if I don’t put myself out there, I don’t know where I can go. Now we will see what will happen; in the second weekend in Misano. After the test it will be a tight race. And maybe on one of those days it might rain…”.
