The new captain sees "good energy in the gym"

On the sidelines of the presentation of the new sponsor that will be present on Olimpia Milano jerseys for the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Italian Supercup competitions, Ricci, one of the most experienced of the new AX, dwelt on several hot topics, starting with his new role as captain (co-habiting with Shields).

"I would say it è a wonderful personal recognition. I am happy to share this responsibility with Shields. For me è definitely a great source of pride. I take this sash directly from Melli who has written an important piece of history at Olimpia" his clear words.

Ricci also spoke about the revolution that, in the summer, led to the'creation of a completely renewed roster compared to last season: "It's been quite a turbulent summer. We certainly lost a lot of talent, but it will be up to us not to make those who are gone regret it. I see good energy in the gym and that gives me hope for the future".

Olimpia's new season will begin next Sept. 21. On the schedule is the Italian Cup semifinal against Reyer Venezia. Olimpia is aiming to try to win the first trophy of the new season: "Nobody gives you anything, we have understood that to our cost.
