Saturday, Sept. 14, featured five matches from the fifth day of Serie B: successes for Bari, Brescia and Palermo against Mantova, Frosinone and Juve Stabia, respectively. In tie; the challenge between Cittadella and Catanzaro and the one that saw Cremonese and Spezia clash.
At the San Nicola the first success of the Galletti comes at the expense of a nervous Mantova, so much so as to end the match in ten men: the goals of Bari bear the signature of Nunzio Lella to 31' and Valerio Mantovani all'89'. For the Virgilians, direct red for Simone Trimboli at 81'81'.
Brescia returns to the top of the standings, hooking Spezia, with a bombastic 4-0 inflicted on Frosinone: Ante Juric makes a double, scoring at 7' and 19', Giacomo Olzer practically closes the accounts at 35' signing the tris. The Ciociari remained in ten from 57' for the second yellow against Ebrima Darboe, the penalty scored by Gabriele Moncini at 83'83' è the icing on the cake for the Rondinelle.
Palermo prevails against Juve Stabia 3-1 away: rosanero ahead with goals by Jacopo Segre at 18' and Thomas Henry at 43', Andrea Adorante shortens the distance at 61' but Matteo Brunori, from the penalty spot, puts the seal on the three points, which at the triple whistle add to the ranking of the club of the Sicilian capital.
Finally, the two draws come from Cittadella, where the local team led by Edoardo Gorini is stopped at 0-0 by Catanzaro, and from the 'Zini' of Cremona, where Cremonese goes ahead at 35' with Michele Collocolo but is reached by Spezia at 65', as a result of the goal scored by Petko Hristov.
