WTA Monastir, Lucia Bronzetti out in semifinals
Lucia Bronzetti’s run in the WTA 250 on the Tunisian cement in Monastir stopped in the semifinals. The 25-year-old from Rimini, world number 86, è was beaten with a score of 6-3 6-4 by Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova, number 136.
Lucia immediately went down 2-0, recovered to 2-2 but then suffered two more breaks, in the seventh and ninth games, which cost her the first set. In the second è she goes up 2-0 and gets caught at 2-2, unfortunately the tenth game è decisive for the Slovak who makes yet another break and closes the match after an hour and a half of play.
