Lando Norris on pole position in Singapore, stints Ferraris

In tomorrow’s Singapore Grand Prix it will be Lando Norris who will start on pole position. The McLaren Briton will have at his side three-time reigning world champion and world leader Max Verstappen, who gave way to him by 203 thousandths. Third and fourth at 316 and 342 thousandths are the two Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. The Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz ended Q3 without time: the Monegasque è had his performance cancelled, while the Spaniard è went against the wall.

In Q1, Daniel Ricciardo in the Racing Bulls, Lance Stroll in the Aston Martin, Pierre Gasly in the Alpine and the Kick Sauber derelicts of Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou are eliminated. In Q2 out were the two Williams of Alexander Albon and Franco Colapinto, the Red Bull of Sergio Perez, and è only a relative surprise, the Haas of Kevin Magnussen, returning from a Grand Prix disqualification, and the Alpine of Esteban Ocon.

In the opening Q3 Sainz crashes with the rear end after launching too early for the first attempt on too cold tires, no consequences for the driver. The’accident happens 8 minutes from the checkered flag so’everyone opts for a single attempt and so’when the session clock restarts, there’è the usual melina to avoid leaving the pits first.

Eventually the’burden falls to the two McLarens when there are three minutes left and Norris will start on pole position for the sixth time in his career, the fifth of the season. Verstappen resurrects flanking him on the front row, the second è all Mercedes with Hamilton and Russell, the third will be Oscar Piastri with the second McLaren and a great Nico Hulkenberg in the Haas. Seventh and eighth Fernando Alonso with theAston Martin and Yuki Tsunoda with the Racin Bulls, the Ferraris are wistfully on the fifth row.
