Fiorentina won 3 important points by overcoming Lazio 2-1 in Sunday’s lunch match. The Biancocelesti, initially ahead thanks to Gila’s marker, were brought back by two penalty kicks scored by Albert Gudmundsson, the last just before the triple whistle.
In the first half the two teams offered a lively and entertaining match with several chances: first Fiorentina tried with Colpani but Provedel saved, then Zaccagni and Tavares failed to get past De Gea. The result unblocked at 41': perfect cross by Tavares and winning zuccata by Gila. The biancoceleste lineup goes to rest in the lead.
Palladino revolutionized the lineup and threw in Albert Gudmundsson, the move that unlocked the match: at 49' he was landed in the box by Guendouzi and converted the penalty, putting the match back on even terms. Later Kean tries but does not frame the goal, in the final Patric has a huge chance but his header is rebuffed by the excellent De Gea.
Seconds before the triple whistle Tavares lands Dodo and the referee, after VAR consultation, awards the second penalty kick for Fiorentina which Gudmundsson scores for the final 2-1.
