During the free practice session and Motegi, site of the Japanese Grand Prix, came two really significant pieces of "market" news. Aprilia made Sterlacchini official as its new technical director. The Italian team, then, after changing both riders ahead of next season (Martin and Bezzecchi), decides to bet on the engineer who did so well in KTM.

Rivola, ad of Aprilia Racing, motivated thusì the decision to rely on Sterlacchini: "The Aprilia Racing project believes a lot in these changes. We want to thank Romano Albesiano. We have done so much good together but, at some point, a shake-up has to be given. Changed riders, technicians and now technical director? Some risk you have to take", his words to Sky Sport.

After the officialdom of Sterlacchini as the new dt of Aprilia Racing Team, è came another important officialdom, namely the arrival of Albesiano in HRC. The Piedmontese engineer leaves, therefore, Aprilia Racing Team but does not remain without a job, indeed he has a great chance in Honda.

Albesiano will beà the first non-Japanese technical director in Honda which, in fact, confirms that it wants to change its approach, opening up to new “points of view”. In short, a real technical revolution in the MotoGP paddock with two Italian engineers as the absolute protagonists.
